Creation Matters North West (CMNW) is a team of people who are committed to sharing with others the Biblical and scientific evidence that supports Creation.  We do this by organising meetings and sharing information via our website, newsletters and e-mail correspondence.  To achieve these goals, CMNW does collect and process personal information provided by our supporters in order to communicate relevant information to them.

Creation Matters North West (CMNW) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website (or via contact sheets at our meetings), then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this guidelines described in this policy.

How we collect your information

CMNW will collect your personal information from you directly through:

• Paper “Contact us” forms filled in at one of our meetings
• Responses to emails sent out by us regarding the ‘Annual Newsletter and Meeting Announcements’. A subscription form is provided for this online

• Contacting us via the web-site online contact form (Contact Us Page)

The contact information that we may collect includes:

• Name, postal address, post code
• Landline telephone, mobile phone, email address(es)
• Church association (if applicable)

Additionally, on-line communications may also provide usage information automatically, including:

• IP address, browser type, operating system, date stamps, etc.  CMNW does not retain this information once the email or contact request has been deleted.

What happens if you do not provide the personal information we request

If you do not provide some or all of the information requested, CMNW may not be able to provide you with a reply to your enquiry or keep you informed of future meetings and announcements.

How we use your information

CMNW is extremely careful with the personal information you provide. We will use it to:

• Respond to your questions, comments, suggestions, thoughts, opinions, requests, concerns, or ideas to fulfil CMNW goals.
• Contact you to answer specific requests, deliver email announcements and newsletters you have subscribed to, inform you of future meetings.
• Continually update, develop, design and customize the content of our Web site in response to your opinions and suggestions.
• Help us to know which churches in the area we have contacts in (in order to advertise our meetings at those fellowships)

Every email you receive from us will always provide a way for you to be removed from our mailing lists – once you are removed from the mailing list all personal information you have provided via the website will be permanently deleted.

CMNW never sells, rents or leases personal information. Nor do we exchange any personal information with other organisations.

While CMMW uses third party organisations to collect, process and store personal information (Mailchimp) to help us in our work, use of your personal information by such firms is limited to the internal purposes of CMMW.

How long do we hold your personal information

Your personal information is held indefinitely until:

• You request your information to be deleted
• You request your information to be updated – old information is deleted when updated
• CMNW deem you no longer wish to be kept in contact or receive regular emails due to inactivity in the emails we send (see Logs) – we will endeavour to inform you beforehand before deletion to seek your consent to remain on the mailing list
• CMNW receives notification from other people that you no longer wish to remain on the mailing list, we will endeavour to contact the individual concerned before proceeding with such changes

If you feel that you have been mistakenly removed, please re-subscribe using the form on the home page.

How you can access your personal information

Simply contact us (Contact us) to request access to your personal information. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible, we will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

Please allow up to 21 days for us to respond to your enquiry.

We reserve the right to challenge requests we deem to be made with malicious intent.

Security

Personal information that is held by our third party mailing list provider (Mailchimp) utilise industry-standard secure server connections to ensure that your personal data is encrypted and securely transmitted over the Internet.

Logs

CMNW’s mailing list provider (mailchimp) uses log files to track trends, open and click rate, and activity in all the emails you receive. We do not track or collect any information on your viewing behaviour on the CMNW website.

The mailing list provider log files contain the following information:

• Open Rate – how often you have opened an email from us
• Open time and date – The time and date when the email was opened
• Click Rate – How often you have clicked a link or button on the email
• General Area – The approximate geographic location of the computer based on the IP address. This data shows the approximate location and the detail of this data is typically confined to the town or city, not to the street or house level.
• Email Client – Your email software

This information may be shared among CMNW committee members and may be archived for analysis in the future. This information is held on the mailing list providers own secure servers and is not shared with anyone else.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies and local storage are industry-standard technologies that allows a website or app to store and retrieve data on a person’s computer, mobile phone or other device. While cookies are a short string based file, local storage can hold larger amounts of data for storage, caching and offline purposes.

The CMNW website does not use Cookies or any tracking technologies, however, the emails you receive as part of our regular announcements (Mailchimp) contain tracking technologies that record your interaction with the content. The information we collect can be viewed in the Logs section.

Links

Links to other sites in the emails we send or on the website are not covered by this privacy policy, but we try to exercise caution in linking to reputable sites. No personal information is passed to any organisation that we link to.

The hyperlinks to other sites on this website and on emails are provided as an additional resource only and should not be seen as an endorsement, approval or agreement with any information or resources offered at sites accessed through our site. No inference or assumption should be made and no representation should be inferred that CMMW is connected with, operates or controls these websites.

Maintenance of information

If your personally identifiable information changes (such as name, phone or e-mail), or if you no longer desire to receive email updates, or other mailed correspondence, we provide a way to correct, update or deactivate such information.

Our response will inform you whether we have accepted your complaint, request further information, or advise that we do not think we are in breach.
